The autumn flush is the last flush before the Tea bushes go into ‘hibernation’ for the winter in Darjeeling . A typical characteristic of the autumn flush is a larger leaf and a robust cup. Extreme cold weather conditions during winter make these teas very flavory.
The temperature start testing zero degrees, the mature Tea leaves can no longer bear the cold and the leaves start to wilt. These leaves cells undergo fermentation at a very slow rate and a rare flavour with heavy intensity is developed on its own. Production for this tea is very limited.
